Katie doesn't quite remember when she and Jess met (maybe when Katie was 6 or 7?), but they've been friends ever since, and as adults they have become very close. Jessica and Katie share the same passion - synchronized skating - and they skated on the same team for many, many years, travelling the country and the entire world together. Jessica always said she would hang her skates up "this year," but it never quite seemed to happen. If you ask the team, Jessica's greatest talent is storytelling; she will make any boring story sound incredibly interesting (not by embellishing, just by the way she tells it), and by the time she is done, the entire room is gathered around listening, sharing her laughter and/or pain! Katie is honored to have Jessica as her Matron of Honor, plus it helps that she's a *cough*...wedding planner...*cough*   =)

Shy Laura. That was what Katie thought when she first met her at Icette practice 1995. When she got to know her though, she realized her initial impression couldn't be further from the truth! Wild and crazy Laura is more like it! Katie's most memorable time with Laura occurred in Paris and involved three bottles of wine (one white, one red, one pink), and Kharen's toothbrush. Within the last few years, they've been able to share many similar experiences; challenging class load at SDSU, real estate investing, insanely busy schedules, entertaining fun, the list goes on. Fun fact: a few years ago, the team started calling Laura, Boobie; unfortunately for her, the nickname stuck!

Traci and Katie's friendship also goes way back. They have skated together for many years (since the mid '80's) and have become especially good friends within the last 10 years. Traci is as obsessed with synchro as Katie is, and sometimes Traci is the only person who is willing to methodically analyze, vent, and plan with her! The two of them FINALLY got their long awaited nationals medal in 2004, yippee! Go Team Flan! Expect to see them as old and gray ladies, leaving their walkers at rinkside, excited to hop on the ice to practice with their masters team :). Even though Traci is usually great at maintaining her conservative exterior, Katie has a few funny memories of her getting a little crazy. Note: most of these memories involve Jessica, rum, and coke! We are pleased to have both Traci and her daughter Isabelle in our wedding.



  Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Katie and Kristin met in Kindergarten, quickly became best friends, and while there were a couple of bumps in the road, their friendship has continued for more than 20 years. They don't talk every day and not even every month, but when they get together, it's like nothing has changed; just ask Mike, who can never get a word in edgewise, when the three of them go out. One of Katie's many memories involving Kristin, was when both of them were sent to the principal's office in 5th grade for talking back to their P.E. teacher! Kristin is living in New York City attending law school (she's always been a great arguer!), and she plans on staying there after graduation. We had a great time staying with her in New York on our way to Italy! If you really want to embarass Kristin, call her "Toes," it's her childhood nickname.

Katie met Robyn at Mike's on-campus apartment shortly after she and Mike had begun dating. She was immediately friendly and welcoming to Katie, and since they were both Psychology majors at SDSU, they had a lot to talk and complain about. On many occasions, Robyn and Mike's antics have pushed Katie into hysterics; anyone who has seen these two in action can easily understand! =) Over the last couple of years, Katie has been so greatful for Robyn's honesty, insight, and ability to be straightforward. We wish Robyn and Josh lived closer to us, so we could see them more often. Katie is looking forward to having Robyn as her sister-in-law!



  Hometown: Chula Vista, CA

Katie first met Marcie when she interviewed for Z57 in 2000, when Marcie took her to Starbucks. Not only did Katie think the company was cool, she and Marcie immediately hit it off and have shared an office ever since. They both have so much in common which means they are ALWAYS talking; they are both only daughters in military families, both introverted but looking for fun, and they share many of the same interests (including their obsession with reality tv and Dave Chappelle!). Over the past couple of years, they've had a blast planning events to drag Mike and Doug to....from camping, to fancy dinners, to canoeing trips that never happen, to their annual July 4th beach day, to plain old parties; they always manage to have a great time. Fun fact: If you get Marcie laughing really hard she'll snort! You have to listen really close for it, but it will come!



  Hometown: San Diego, CA

Katie and Mallory have been skating together for years - their first season skating on the same team was '96-'97 (Bird year). Since then, they have become good friends and confidants. Even though Mallory is young enough to be Katie's little sister, Katie respects her immensely, and is inspired by her every time they are together. Not only is Mallory gorgeous; she is an incredibly beautiful person on the inside too. Mike also gets a kick out of Mallory, since she is "tough" - just ask her to show you the broomball wound Mike gave her! Yes, Mike apologized... :)




  Hometown: Redding, CA

Marissa is Katie's cousin, and while Katie still remembers when she was a baby, she has grown into quite a beautiful and successful girl. She is very much like Katie in that she HAS to be involved in EVERY SINGLE activity (violin, trumpet, ballet, and girl scouts, just to name a few). We are thrilled to have Marissa as part of our special day!

Cheyenne is Mike's niece. She is a beautiful young girl with many accomplishments ahead of her. She is very bright, plays the violin, and loves to laugh! She is going to be a wonderful junior bridesmaid, and Katie and Mike are honored to have her.




  Hometown: Garden Grove, CA

Anthony is Michael's older brother. He is the voice of reason in Mike's crazy world! Whenever Michael had a problem, he went to Anthony, and still continues to do so. Being Michael's best man could not have gone to anyone else, because Anthony was there from Michael's beginning. Michael would want nobody else standing by his side.



  Hometown: Fullerton, CA

Michael met Andrew in high school through mutual friends. They grew to become great friends and found out they had so much in common! Sitting at home playing Myst to going to Disneyland became common advetures for the two. Andrew eventually moved to San Diego to finish college, and after that moved back to Orange County. Even though years have passed, when these two get together it's like no time has passed at all. If you really want to get to know Andrew Buck just move your mouse on his picture and you will see his evil side!

Craig was Anthony's college roommate. He has always been another brother to Michael. Craig used to stay with the Harris family during the summer when school was out, and those memories of Craig are precious to Mike. Devastated when his older brother left for college, he was lucky enough to get two back for the summer! Craig always advises Mike to think things through before acting, and to do what will make him happy. Craig is a great friend, and Michael is honored to have him as a groomsman.

Michael met Shaun through a mutual friend. Not until Shaun became a coach for San Diego State's cheer squad did they become great friends. They moved into an apartment together with other people from the team, and have been friends ever since. Shaun is the epitomy of politeness and shows it to everyone. For that reason Michael is honored to have him as groomsman.



  Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Michael met Garrett in the second grade at Barker Elementary in Garden Grove, CA. Ever since then, there was no separating them. Garrett was practically Michael's twin. They did everything together. When Michael was growing up, he was either at his own house or Garrett's house. When these two get together it is like they are kids again. Garrett reminds Michael of his childhood memories, and his first friend. Michael is honored to have Garrett as a groomsman.

And Mike thought his name was messed up! Michael corrupted this young guy at tryouts for San Diego State cheerleading. After the tryouts, Michael took him over to his apartment and offered Kreg a beer, even though he was underage (Shhhh....). The look on Kreg's face when he was offered a beer was priceless. Kreg realized that he was officially in college! Ever since that day these two can easily be spotted drinking beers together. You can bet that you will see them at the wedding drinking a couple too! Michael and beer are honored to have him as a groomsman!

Joshua is Michael's sister's husband, and Mike and Josh became great friends quickly. Michael is excited to have Joshua in his wedding. Robyn, Joshua, and Cheyenne both live in Bellvue, WA, so it is hard not having them close. But when Michael and Katie go out and see them it is always a memorable time. Michael wishes nothing but the best for both of them, and Michael is honored to have Joshua as a groomsman.

Isabelle is Katie's Bridesmaid Traci's oldest child. She is very smart, and Katie loves the fact that she has red hair! :P

Tristan is our Matron of Honor's oldest son. This little blondie is quite a handful, and he absolutely loves the ladies! He likes animals, race cars, and playing with his little brother, Todd.

Isabella is Michael's niece. She is Anthony's daughter, and she will be 2 years old by the wedding date. She is a bundle of energy as you can see in her picture! Since Isabella is Michael's first niece, Katie and Michael thought it would be wonderful to have her in the wedding. She will bring smiles to all the faces that she her!
