We slept well in our tent -- we did hear some animals walking around outside though, so we didn't want to go to the bathroom! We were ok though - probably just some warthogs...
Yay! We finally saw a leopard! Mike spotted him crossing the road ahead of us, but by the time I had my camera out, he had disappeared. We also saw a hippo roaming around...those things really are huge.
Back to Kampala (we are going to Tanzania tomorrow). On the way we ate at an aidchild.org restaurant - everything sold there, and all profits made benefit the organization. I ordered Matooke and Bean Sauce - Matooke is mashed bananas (not the sweet kind...not plantains either...apparently there are 3 different kinds of bananas here, and these are the 3rd kind). It was actually pretty tasty, even though it sounded and looked a bit strange. Mike is really craving McDonald's right now -- we asked Medi if there was a McDonald's in Kampala, and he said, "What's McDonald's?" So...I guess there isn't :) Also on the way to Kampala, we stopped at the Uganda equater again, and took a picture - Mike on the North side of the equater, and me on the South.
Our hotel (Hotel Africana) is very nice. There is an internet center, tv's & phones in the rooms, air conditioning, and electricity! Woohoo! So posh!
